FIVE QUESTIONS WITH...CAIMH MCDONNELL

Caimh McDonnell's A Series of Unfortunate Events is on at The Engine House on 20th October. We put five questions to him to find out more about his show...

What is your show about?

My show is a celebration of my own social ineptitude. If you’re the kind of person who thinks ‘A stranger is just a friend I haven’t met yet’ – this show isn’t for you. If however you think ‘a stranger is just an embarrassing situation waiting to happen’ then come along, if for no other reason than to see someone who is more socially awkward than you are.

What has been the highlight of your comedy career thus far?

A gig I did in Thailand being raided by Immigration. As heckles go, ‘I’m throwing you out of the country’ is a cracker.

Finish this sentence: "If you like _____, then you'll like my show"

Cookies!

4) What will you do in the hour before your show?

My venue is directly below my flat so the hovering probably.

Name 3 other comics you would recommend seeing.

Mick Ferry, Jason Cook, Jesus.
