The day has finally arrived and the tenth Manchester Comedy Festival is here!
With over 200 shows on offer in our 10th anniversary, we will bring you a daily round up with more information on some of the shows on offer, beginning with Monday 18th October.
Flecky Bennett’s Manchester Ghost Walk (City centre, 7pm)
Having frightened victims in Manchester and London, Flecky Bennett returns to Manchester for the second year running with his popular ghost walk. Flecky’s mixture of history and performance in his one-man show has earned the walk a ‘Visit England Quality Assured Visitor Attraction’ status. Click here to buy tickets.

Critically acclaimed stand-up comedian, Phil Walker, was awarded City Life Comedian of the Year in 2002, and can be seen in reputable comedy clubs up and down the country. He’s even entertained troops in Afghanistan! Click here to buy tickets.
Quentin Reynolds - Comedy Mindreader (Lass O’Gowrie, 7.30pm)
Winner of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year in 2005, this comedy mindreader explores the psychic and the paranormal to a comic backdrop of laughter and astonishment. Quentin's is also the only show to be running for every day of the festival, so he's also got stamina. Click here to buy tickets.
An Audience with Paul Daniels (The Comedy Store, 18th Oct, 8pm)
One of the most recognisable faces in the UK and world-renowned magician Paul Daniels is coming to Manchester to wow audiences with his blend of mind blowing magic tricks and unique comic style.
Daniels’ BBC and ITV magic shows have had sky-high ratings, and he has entertained members of the Royal Family, The Sultan of Oman and Barry White, as well as many millions more in the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing 2010. You could be next, so don’t miss out! Click here to buy tickets
Beat the Frog: World Series Heat 4 (Frog and Bucket, Doors open 7pm, Starts 8.15pm)
The witty and spontaneous Dan Nightingale presents a comedy battle where hopefuls struggle to make the five-minute mark and you have a hand in making (or breaking) their dreams. Featuring the critically acclaimed Michael J. Dolan and his sharp humour. Click here to buy tickets.
Mancjester Comedian of the Year: Heat One (Simple Bar, 8.15pm)
This competition makes its first appearance at the Manchester Comedy Festival and celebrates fresh, raw talent on the comedy circuit. In the first of three heats, eight acts compete for one of six places in the final, with over £250 up for grabs. It'll be sure to have you on the edge of your seats! Click here to buy tickets

What Would the Martians Think? (The Clubhouse, Door time 8pm, Show time 8.45pm)

Mirth on Monday (Iguana Bar, 9pm)
This brilliant comedy night is in its 8th year and is still hosted by its charismatic and effortless creator, Dan Sharples. Over the years, it has pulled in some of the biggest names in comedy such as Alan Carr, Roy Walker, and Johnny Vegas.
