FIVE QUESTIONS WITH...JOHN ROBINS
After a spectacular, four star ridden run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, John Robins brings his show, Nomadic Revery, to the Manchester Comedy Festival 2010. We caught up with him to ask five questions...
What is your show about?
My show is about what it’s like to grow up thinking you’re a bit of a rebel, and being proven wrong on countless occasions. It’s about innocence, the rock band queen and the beauty of the smily winky face.
What has been the highlight of your comedy career thus far?
Playing to 1200 people in my home town of Bristol was the only time I’ve let my mum watch me on stage. So I guess that’s as good a time as any.
Finish this sentence: If you like having your mind blown, then you'll like my show.
What will you do in the hour before your show?
Any number of things, but all behind a locked toilet door, and that’s how they will remain.
Name 3 other comics you would recommend seeing.
Henry Paker, Ian Cognito, Paul Sinha
John Robins is on at The Engine House on 26th October - buy tickets for the show here.
